Besides this wonderful website you are using now, i've had the opportunity to work on some other wonderful projects over the years. Starting with the most recent first. Please note - that all work was completed to specification. Electronic projects include web sites, videos and custom icons. lastminute.comA 12 month contract that began in September '08. My role was to ensure the stability of lastminute.com and associated websites through use of consistent coding styles and methods. I provided technical expertise and advice to other members of the UI development team and both internal and external customers, Check the site regularly for discrepancies and report back to the Lead UI developer and UI development team. I was responsible for the maintenance and regular update of the existing web pages and templates for lastminute.com UK and associated sites. This involved the building of web pages and templates for lastminute.com UK and associated sites. I work with the Quality Assurance (QA) teams to deliver content that follows the lastminute.com style guides and documentation. The job requires practical knowledge of python, CSS, JavaScript and a good knowledge of web standards. MencapThe purpose of my role was to design and implement web based solutions and enhancements for the business, based on best practices. My duties included developing websites from the ground up, as well as enhancing existing websites. This includes defining the technologies that will be used and supported to deliver long term solutions. The job requires practical knowledge of converting Access databases into SQL database structures, and developing these from scratch, thus requires a strong and proven track record of data modeling, database optimisation, ASP and data warehousing in a corporate environment. During my time at Mencap I have worked on various applications for the organisation intranet and internet sites. Most notably the picture library, online jobs, finance section and applied Web 2.0/REST (Representational State Transfer) applications like Google maps and flickr to a number of internal and external sites. A good knowledge of web standards such as W3C/WAI compatibility and accessibility tools such TTS (Text To Speech engines) is required. In addition to this, I successfully implemented SEO techniques using Google Analytics and Google Adwords by ensuring that pages and urls were SEO friendly. But my biggest success to date was the rebranding of the old web site, which took a year of research and development. Metropolitan PoliceManagement of the Metropolitan Police Service website. I was responsible for all aspects of the website including design, coding, sourcing, multimedia composition and editing news content, ensuring submitted content meets the editorial guidelines developed in partnership with the communications team. I ensure that content meets accessibility guidelines and is useful, interesting and engaging to the public in line with the Citizen Focus agenda. I was responsible for managing the relationship with external partners, Borough and Operational Command Units and the MPS hosting provider. I provide consultation services to other teams seeking to set up web projects. I assisted my team with the migration to a new CMS system, which involved working with 32 Borough Command Unit editors to review, reorganise and reformat their content. I supported the publicity team in developing websites for their projects for example the Domestic Violence and Counter terrorism campaigns. Other notable organisations i've worked with
